Advocacy. Education. Industry.

The Western Residential Warranty Association (WRWA) was established in late 2023 by insurers and brokers involved in providing warranty coverage on new homes in Western Canada. The sector is heavily regulated with coverage mandatory on new homes sold in British Columbia and Alberta and every home builder is required to provide warranty protection backed by a third-party warranty provider. Our members take pride in providing new home-owners peace of mind on the largest investment they will likely make in their lifetime.
Goals of the WRWA:
- To enable members to work collectively on matters related to new home warranty.
- To advocate on behalf of the Members on legislative proposals and other public matters affecting Members in common within the residential warranty sector.
- To provide information to meet technical aspirations and social requirements of those engaged in or connected to the industry Sector.
- To maintain a link between the Members, government decision-makers, public and media.
- To assist Member companies, adapt to legislative and policy changes by government through member bulletins, conferences, seminars, and information sessions.
- To continue to develop the Association’s capacity to address industry section issues and challenges.
- To communicate with third-party advocates and strategic partners on matters of mutual interest.
